Shrimp Scampi Fettuccine



You will need:

3/4 pound of uncooked shrimp. Peel and deveined also remove the tail.
4 ounces fettuccine
1 tablespoon of olive oil or vegetable oil.
1 medium green onion cut about a tablespoon.
1 clove garlic chopped finely.
2 teaspoons of chopped fresh or 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil leaves
2 teaspoons of chopped fresh parsly or 3/4 teaspoon
1 tablespoon of Lemon juice
1/8 salt
Grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

1. Rinse shrimp with cold water, pat dry with paper towels. Set aside.

2. Cook and drain fettuccine as it says on the package. Keep warm.

3.While fettuccine is cooking, heat the oil in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook shrimp, onion, garlic, basil, parsley, lemon juice and salt in oil 2 to 3 minutes, stir frequently. Just til shrimp are pink and firm ( do not overcook)
Remove skillet from heat.

4. Add fettuccine to skillet; toss fettuccine and shrimp mixture in skillet. Sprinkle with cheese.

Calories; 375, Calories from fat; 90; Fat 10g; Saturated fat 2g; cholesterol 290mg; Sodium; 440mg; Carbs; 38g; Dietary fiber; 2g; Protein 33g; Vitamin A 12%, Vitamin C 6%, Calcium 8%, Iron 36%.

Ovarian Cysts Side Effects & Symptoms

Ovarian cysts are sacs of fluid developed on a woman’s reproductive organs. Some cysts are not harmful and some are, they can threaten your health and you may not show any symptoms. Getting regular pelvic exams is important to treating and preventing them. Cysts are quite common in woman especially during menstruation, and may vary on what type of cyst you might get. During a woman menstruation it is common for her to develop a small, fluid or egg filled cysts in and around the ovaries. As her cycle progresses, these sacs break, releasing eggs into the fallopian tube. A cyst is a collection of fluid surrounded by a thin wall. There are many types of cysts some range in different sizes, like a size of a pea or a grapefruit..


Ovarian cysts can develop for a number of reasons and range from being completely harmless to life threatening. Here is an outline of the various types of ovarian cysts:

Cystadenomas: cysts that develop on the outside of the ovary, causing pain if they are particularly large

Dermoid cysts: cysts that can also grow hair, teeth and a variety of other tissues, causing pain if they are particularly large.

Functional cysts: cysts filled with eggs that develop during menstruation and disappear once the eggs are released

Endometriomas: cysts that grow in or outside of the uterus, causing pain if they are particularly large

Polycystic ovaries: cysts filled with eggs that aren’t released and, instead, continue to grow.

The symptoms of Ovarian Cysts Are:

achiness in the in the back (especially the lower back) and upper legs

Breast tenderness

Irregular menstrual cycles

Nausea and/or vomiting

Painful sex

Pressure and/or pain in the abdomen

Pressure and/or pain on the bladder and/or rectum

problems passing urine

weight gain.

In more serious cases when the ovarian cysts are particularly harmful to your health, symptoms include:

Dizziness or lightheadedness
Fatigue
Fever
Severe abdominal pain
Shortness of breath or rapid breathing
Vomiting

We detoxify our bodies, but have you ever thought about detoxifying your mind? You see if your mind is clutter with negative thoughts, you have no time to be truly happy. True happiness gives you a better life and power to overcome anything that comes your way.

Never live your life base on what others say or do. Even though sometimes it might be hard to. Your are living for you and God, he is the only one you need to worry about. Detoxify your mind and replace them with good thoughts and watch how things change for you. All that negativity and worrying will eat your body and mind up. Do something good for yourself, you deserve it. If you can't love yourself how are you going to love someone else.

It takes more energy focusing on the bad instead of the good. Cleanse your body from all of the sickness. Give your soul peace, times are hard and it can get in the way of you trying to balance your life.

Swine Flu

The Swine Flu started from Mexico. 1600 cases have been reported in Mexico and 100 people have died from this flu. Cases have been reported in other states like Ohio, Texas, Kansas, California and New York.

Symptoms are similar to the flu. 36,000 people died last year from the flu alone. Scientists are in the mix of developing a vaccine for the Swine flu, they are hoping to have it within a few months. No cases have been reported in Illinois. If you have signs of the Swine flu see the doctor within 48 hours. If your children have flu like symptoms keep them home.

No deaths have been reported in Texas, Kansas, California and New York. Some have recovered without medication.

To keep from getting the flu, eat healthy, drink plenty of water and just take care of yourself.

Doughnut or Toast



As I was sipping on my cup of coffee this morning, my stomach was bugging for something to eat. I said leave me alone later ok!. Grrrrr! Wow you are a fighter aren't you? There's a war going on in there and it needs it firearm. I said ok a few more minutes and I'll give you your fuel. I need to do this work and I'll take care of you as soon as I can, I'm pressed for time. Working trying to get things done and grrrr! It still puts up a fight no matter what! Hunger don't play.

Trying to finish up this last little job and then I'll take a break, but my hunger wasn't having it, grrrr. Finally I gave in and was stuck between a doughnut and toast. I had a doughnut yesterday my conscious said, I said this is between me and my stomach. Shut up! So stomach what should we have today? Don't have a real meal in front of me. Conscious jump in and said "toast" Completely ignoring that. Doughnut is what stomach wants and Doughnut is what it is going to get.

As I reached in to grab my delicious soft and moist cinnamon breakfast, all of a sudden I turn to the fridge and grab two slices of bread toasted it. It's no doughnut but I'd rather eat right then to eat with guilt. I said good job conscious, even though I wanted that doughnut sooo bad, my mind was telling me no and I listened to it no matter what I was craving.

Smart choices can be hard to make when it comes to food. If you have the willpower then making those choices will be just as easy as eating the wrong foods. When I ate my toast I felt so good and was proud of myself. My body was happy too!

When u make the right choices most of the time, then you get to enjoy the foods you love sometimes

30 Minute Walk A Day Will Make The Pounds Go Away

Everyone knows that walking is a great form of exercise. You can burn hundreds of calories a day when you take a brisk walk. Fit 30 minutes of walking in your day and you are good to go. If you don't have time try this.

Wake up a little early before you go to work and go for a 10 minute walk.

During your lunch break take 10 minutes of that and walk.

Before you go to bed, after the kids are asleep take a brisk 10 minute walk.

That's it and your workout is done. Now it can't get no easier than that.

If you are scared to walk at night then if you have a treadmill or bike inside the home ride that for 10 minutes.

Beautiful Day

Awoke this morning and did my little workout. I'm trying to get my stomach back in shape and the rest of me lol! I love working out, it makes me feel good about myself as long as it is not boring. Today my family and I set out inside the garage and barbecued some burgers and hot dogs. We had so much fun, my hubby and I were sipping on our favorite drink loving the lovely weather.

Enjoying the burst of sun, hearing the laughter of little ones. It was a beautiful day. Mellow breeze and the right amount of warmth, it couldn't get no better. I love days like this, it just makes you realize how much Family means to you. I'm happy when I'm with my family.

Laughter and Love is the best Medicine. Enjoy life and cherish what u have.

Would You Cheat If You Knew You Wouldn't Get Caught?

Infidelity is the main cause of a relationship to fall apart, but if you love this person and knew that if you wouldn't get caught. Would you risk fulfilling your desires of being with someone else?

When ask this question on the Mike and Juliet show 50% of Men said yes and 50% of Women said yes as well. I'm not going to lie, there were times in my relationship that things were so bad that, I had plenty of opportunities to cheat, but I didn't.

Do think that cheating can be a reaction of being mistreated or people do it because they were weak and couldn't fight their temptations? I would like to know your opinions on this, I'm writing an article about it and would appreciate any feedback.

Why do you think people cheat, and if you have cheated why? Was it worth it, Did it make your relationship stronger or tore it apart? Do you think it is possible to be in a relationship without infidelity? Remember you don't have to be intimated to cheat, a kiss is cheating as well.

Healthy Salad On The Go

Hey to my dear followers, hope all is well with you. Hope you are enjoying my posts. Here's a quick recipe for those always on the go.

* Chopped lettuce, rinse thoroughly
* Tomatoes chopped into chunks, rinse before cutting.
* Chopped some red onions, not too many about a hand full
* Low-fat Kraft cheese or whatever suits you. Put about a handful of cheese
* Fat free croutons about half of a handful or whatever you like.
* Cut up chicken breast from a deli pack.
* Half of a Cucumber slice thin or what u prefer.
* Spinach, a half a cup. Rinse as well.
* Sprinkle some cashews on top

Enjoy with some vinegar, salt and garlic powder, or some low-fat dressing. If you don't like low-fat dressing use regular, but in moderation. Enjoy hmmmm! Delicious!

Hangover Cures

Hello to my dear followers. Hope you are having a good day.

Love drinking, but when you wake up and realized how much you've dranked. You are like Oh My God! why did I do that. Having a hangover is no pretty picture, thank god it only last a day and that's too long already. Here are some cures that might ease that nasty side effect of over drinking.

CLTV news says that eating a bacon sandwich can help with a hangover. Because of the amino acids, fat and water in the bacon it boost your metabolism and makes you feel better. Never thought bacon would be a cure.

Body Of 8 Year Old Girl Found: Crime

Every time you turn to the news there is always something about death on it. It just breaks you heart when you hear of a innocent child being in the hands of a sicko and being murdered. When I see awful news, the only thing that goes through my mind is the the terror and fear that went through that little girls head. I can't imagine how scared she was, it is so sad. I give my heart out to the family and pray that these innocent babies stay safe. You can only do so much you know? Just try to keep your kids safe, because this world is not safe anymore. There is terror and phycos around every corner and the bad thing is, you don't even know who they are. I'm going to pray for this family, we all should.

Stomach Crunches: Getting Fit

Hi, to all of my dear followers. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Well, it's been awhile since I've done some stomach crunches. Lately the only crunch I know is eating on a chip. I'm a health fanatic in a way, I still eat what I want. I just watch how much and change the ingredients a bit to fewer calories and fat.

I think it's time for me to start doing more you know? My birthday is next month and I want to look good, not saying I don't look good now. I just want to look better. I want to be not only that hot chic, but hot momma as well. You feel me? I'm so glad that I don't have much to tone up, though. So it's not going to be as hard.

I've started off with 50 sit-ups a day and work my way up after a week to about 80 and work it up from there. If you want to look good, then you have to put some work into it. It's not easy, but it is well worth it. Making healthy changes makes you feel good about yourself. Appreciate your body, nourish it give it what it needs.

My stomach crunches is my way to a better me. What's you challenge to approving yourself? I'll post before and after pics once I've toned up.

Skipping Breakfast Can Lower Your Child's IQ




Your kids might have low IQ's because the lack of eating their breakfast. A study was done at Ohio State University. Breakfast is like fuel for your body, it jumps starts your metabolism and it also controls your weight.

calcium is very important. Make sure they get daily intake of that.

Fiber is very important as well. Whole gains and fiber slows down the digestion. Many people don't know this but fiber and whole grains are fruit. Make sure your child at least get 1200 milligrams of calcium a day. Combining fiber and protein keep will keep them full longer. Make sure it's lean protein.

Breakfast carnations is a good drink to take for breakfast. Carnation instant breakfast has Loads of nutrition.

Also turkey bacon has protein in it as well. We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and yet we tend to skip it anyway. I had no idea that skipping lowers your IQ. You learn something new everyday. I'm going to make sure I eat something for breakfast even if it is just toast.

We certainly want the best for our children and making sure they are prepared nutritiously for the day makes them feel better and function properly. Even if you might not have time to eat breakfast, try buying some of those Nutri-Grain bars or breakfast cookies because we as parents need to take time out and take care of ourselves.

Excepting Yourself For Who You Are; Love Your Body!

With all of the weight loss programs on the Tv it's hard for us to except our bodies. When you see a commercial like that, it makes you feel like something is wrong with you all because you are not a size 6. If anyone does not know it by now, the world is full of variety.

Acceptance is not earned from others, but it is earned from you excepting the uniqueness that you have about yourself. If I decide to change, it will not be for anyone else, it will be for just me, for my satisfaction. I'm not talking about skinny people, because thick beautiful women tend to fall prey to the harsh criticism.

Loving yourself means excepting your flaws. Why should your weight be a flaw? Society's way of how we should look sucks! Fuck them, it's our body, our mind and they don't have to live with it. They criticize a person more for their weight worse then someone who is struggling with anorexia or bulimia. If you gained some weight it is plastered all over the magazines and news as if we have broken a law.

Love yourself, believe in yourself. Being overweight shouldn't mean you should be treated as an outsider and who says you are overweight anyway. That is just how you are made and there is nothing wrong with that. You have haters out there, they are just mad because they can't get and have beautiful voluptuous curves. If they did they wouldn't know how to flaunt it any damn way!
