How To Do A Breast Exam For Men And Women

Giving you a breast exam is very important. I’m not just talking about the women; I’m talking about you guys too. Breast cancer can happen to anyone male or female it does not discriminated. Give yourself monthly exams and go to the doctor regularly.

Here’s how to give yourself a breast exam:

Lay on your back. Feel your breast by placing three of your fingers on it. Slightly press and move the fingers around on your breast as if you were massaging it. Do this on the left, right, top and underneath the breast. Repeat with the other one. Breasts are lumpy because of the tissues that lay underneath them, so it might be kind of difficult to determine a lump. If you come to an odd lump that feels like a tight knot. Go see the doctor. It could be nothing, but just in case go see your doctor.

Get to know your breast and its connective tissues underneath. Get familiar with your breasts so that you will be able to tell a lump from your breast tissue.

When you are in the shower. Raise your arm up and feel under your arm and on the sides of your breast for any unusual knots. Do these breast exams when you are on your menstruation. There are a lot of things that goes on in your body when you are on your period. Hormones, bloating and etc. It is the best time to do it. You do not have to wait, just make sure you do your monthly exams.
