Olive oil is very well known for improving your health and skin. Olive oil is extracted from an olive fruit. There is no heat or chemicals use when extracting the oil. This oil comes in different grades like, olive oil and olive-pomace oil they cannot be mix with any other oils. Olive oil has great nutrients in it which makes it good to use when cooking and maintaining good health. These ingredients in olive oil are what make it the healthiest oil to use.


Mono-unsaturated fat is a good thing these fats are healthy for you. Poly-unsaturated fat is good also, but saturated fats are bad for you when you consume too much of it. Trans-fat a big no, no and olive oil has none of these. For those of you who are watching your salt intake good news, this oil contains no salt at all. There are no carbs in it either, carbohydrates are good for you too, but eating too much will lead to weight gain.
Vitamin E, Vitamin K and phenols are also in this famous oil. There is 1.6mg of vitamin E in a tablespoon of olive oil; vitamin E is naturally an anti-oxidant. Vitamin E is also known for maintaining beautiful and youthful skin.


Vitamin K is found in green leafy vegetables it is associated with chlorophyll and the darker the green, the richer in vitamin K. Phenols are in extra virgin olive oil it is known to be anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and anticoagulant. Antioxidants help to neutralize free radicals and repair damage to cell membranes caused by being around things like cigarette smoke, pollution, alcohol and radiation. This is why this oil is good for having flawless skin.


Oleocanthal is also found in fresh extra virgin olive oil it is similar to that of ibuprofen. In daily doses it works like an aspirin and is a non- steroidal anti-inflammatory and anti oxidant. Squalene is a natural compound used in cosmetics as a moisturizer it is taken from the liver of sharks. Squalene plays a part in regulating sebum. Sebum is made by the sebaceous glands in out skin and is secreted through our pores. It provides a coating on the skin that acts like a wall, blocks the growth of microorganisms and moisturizes our skin and hair.


Olive can be used in salads, cooking oil for frying your meats, spaghetti, and etc. This oil works wonders; they even have hair products that have olive oil in them for maintaining healthy hair and scalp. They also have a diet called the Olive Oil Diet which is known as the Mediterranean Diet. It consists of mostly of the oil, fresh fruit, veggies, legumes, nuts, cereals and alcohol. Olive oil is 120 calories per tablespoon with nutritional benefits.

It helps my daughter with her skin because she suffers for eczema which causes her skin to be sensitive and extremely dry. I love it and will never go without it.
