This veggie contains folate that is important in every childbearing woman. Research gives parsnips nutritional profile (lots of fiber and health promoting phytochemicals) high marks.



Another green to add to your diet is artichoke hearts. Researchers have discovered that artichokes are concentrate with folate. Folate again, is a Vitamin B supplement that is known for it’s importance in fetal development. Folate is a folic acid when added to supplements and fortified foods. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention up to 70% of cases of a birth defect known as neural tube may be prevented in women that are consuming folic acid before and during pregnancy.



Tip: Artichokes is also full magnesium, a mineral that has been found to be helpful in controlling high blood pressure. Magnesium helps keep muscle running smoothly and lessens the risk of arrhythmia, which is very important in the variation of the hearts rhythm.
